Partnered with VERSES, the city of Zaragoza, Spain in on the leading edge of autonomous drone flight that conforms to EU regulations. This video documents a demonstration project to monitor a crowd of over 350,000 people for safety and emergency services on one of the largest local public holidays of the year, the Day of the Virgin of El Pilar. This method is far less expensive, less invasive and safer than alternatives such as police helicopters.
